SEXY GIRLS and CARS SHOW: 2009

Take a deep breath. Smell that? No, not the pollen. Try again. Now you got it. That combination of car wax, gasoline, exhaust and Windex is the smell of spring, my friends. Which means the Alabama car show season officially launches this weekend. And we sure hope you didn't have any other plans, because the calendar is full.

The photo above comes from last year's Taylor Sock Hop and Car Show at Taylor United Methodist Church in Chalkville. That starts at 11 a.m., Saturday. Earlier that day, though, are three other shows. There's 12th Annual T-Town Show Off in Tuscaloosa, the Dixie Vintage Club's 50th celebration in Hoover and the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton.

Texas, Texas, Texas...you never let me down.
